Rudolph von Ruthen is a very handsome 6-7 year old sable German Shepherd. This darling boy with the bright eyes is another shining example of the amazing nature of the rescue dog. As you can see, life has not always been easy for Rudolph but, upon his safe arrival at Westside, he scored a wonderful foster home. As his foster mom would tell it, his future family is also going to score with one great dog. She reports that “Rudy" is incredibly sweet and has good manners. Not surprisingly he loves treats but he doesn't gobble them up greedily — instead he takes them gently one by one. She is also delighted at what a smart pup he is. He knows his “sit” and will patiently wait as his dinner is prepared. He has shown to be quite tolerant when it comes to heeding to the head dog in the household. Finally, Rudolf has proven to have a good heart. He is social around other people and gentle around a 5-month old visitor to the home. Rudy has been learning lots of new things -- like the limits of a leash, the joy of a good meal and the wonders of tennis balls and squeaky stuffies.
